I made this matte painting for my final project in the university and decided to enter a still frame of the video for the #MattePaintContest. I got the inspiration for this project from the movie The Golden Compass. I tracked the footage in pfTrack, modelled and textured the airships in Maya, photobashed and composited the mountains in Photoshop, did the projection mapping and composited the airships in Nuke.
